PROOF OF DATE OF BIRTH

As per the extant statutory provisions of the Passport Rules, 1980, all the applicants born on or after 26/01/1989, in order to get a passport, had to, hitherto, mandatorily submit the Birth Certificate as the proof of Date of Birth (DOB). 

It has now been decided that all applicants of passports can submit any one of the following documents as the proof of DOB while submitting the passport application:

(i) Birth Certificate (BC) issued by the Registrar of Births & Deaths or the Municipal Corporation or any other prescribed authority whosoever has been empowered under the Registration of Birth & Deaths Act, 1969 to register the birth of a child born in India;

(ii) Transfer/School leaving/Matriculation Certificate issued by the school last attended/recognized educational board containing the DOB of the applicant;

(iii) PAN Card issued by the Income Tax Department with the DOB of applicant;

(iv) Aadhar Card/E-Aadhar having the DOB of applicant;

(v) Copy of the extract of the service record of the applicant (only in respect of Government servants) or the Pay Pension Order (in respect of retired Government Servants), duly attested/certified by the officer/in-charge of the Administration of the concerned Ministry/Department of the applicant, having his DOB;

(vi) Driving licence issued by the Transport Department of concerned State Government, having the DOB of applicant;

(vii) Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC) issued by the Election Commission of India having the DOB of applicant;

(viii) Policy Bond issued by the Public Life Insurance Corporations/Companies having the DOB of the holder of the insurance policy.

जन्म तिथि के प्रमाण

पासपोर्ट नियम के मौजूदा वैधानिक प्रावधानों के अनुसार, 1980, सभी आवेदकों, 26/01/1989 के बाद पैदा हुए आदेश में एक पासपोर्ट प्राप्त करने के लिए, अब तक अनिवार्य रूप से जन्म तिथि के प्रमाण के रूप में जन्म प्रमाण पत्र प्रस्तुत किया था (जन्म तिथि)। अब यह निर्णय लिया गया है पासपोर्ट के सभी आवेदकों को जन्म तिथि के प्रमाण जबकि पासपोर्ट आवेदन जमा के रूप में निम्नलिखित दस्तावेजों में से किसी एक को प्रस्तुत कर सकते हैं कि:

(I) जन्म प्रमाणपत्र (BC) में जन्म और मृत्यु के रजिस्ट्रार या नगर निगम या किसी अन्य विहित प्राधिकारी जिसने के जन्म और मृत्यु अधिनियम, 1969 के तहत पंजीकरण का अधिकार दिया गया है कि भारत में पैदा हुए एक बच्चे के जन्म को पंजीकृत करने के द्वारा जारी किए गए;

(Ii) स्थानांतरण / स्कूल छोड़ने / मैट्रिक प्रमाणपत्र स्कूल पिछले भाग लिया / मान्यता प्राप्त शिक्षण आवेदक की जन्म तिथि युक्त बोर्ड द्वारा जारी किए गए;

(Iii) पैन आवेदक की जन्म तिथि के साथ आयकर विभाग द्वारा जारी किए गए कार्ड;

(Iv) आधार कार्ड / ई-आधार आवेदक की जन्म तिथि होने;

(V) (केवल सरकारी कर्मचारियों के संबंध में) आवेदक का सर्विस रिकार्ड के निकालने की प्रति या वेतन पेंशन आदेश (सेवानिवृत्त सरकारी कर्मचारियों के संबंध में), विधिवत अभिप्रमाणित / अधिकारी द्वारा प्रमाणित / प्रभारी प्रशासन संबंधित मंत्रालय / आवेदक विभाग की है, उसकी जन्म तिथि होने;

(Vi) संबंधित राज्य सरकार के परिवहन विभाग द्वारा जारी ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस, आवेदक की जन्म तिथि होने;

(VII) निर्वाचन फोटो पहचान पत्र (ईपीआईसी) भारत आवेदक की जन्म तिथि होने के निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा जारी किए गए;

(VIII) पॉलिसी बांड सार्वजनिक जीवन बीमा निगमों / बीमा पॉलिसी धारक की जन्म तिथि होने कंपनियों द्वारा जारी किए गए।
